This Webinar series, available free of charge to OJJDP-funded mentoring grantees over two sessions, provided tools to help mentoring program staff effectively carry out a strategic approach to evaluating their mentoring program. Session Two, Using Validated Measures to Assess Mentoring Programs, highlighted several publicly available, nationally valid evaluation instruments to measure mentoring program outcomes. 

Learning Objectives for this webinar:

  • identify appropriate assessment instruments based on the program logic model outcomes
  • Understand how to administer and analyze the instruments used

 

This 2-part webinar covered:

  • key features of process and outcome evaluations
  • what it takes to put an evaluation plan to work
  • approaches to use evaluation findings strategically to strengthen and sustain efforts
  • the steps to select appropriate validated assessment instruments based on the program logic model outcomes
  • how to administer and analyze the instruments used

This series, developed by members of TCAM’s advisory group, the National Consortium of Mentoring Practitioners along with TCAM staff, was directed by Janet Forbush, co-chair of the TCAM National Consortium of Mentoring Practitioners, TCAM Senior Advisor, and evaluation expert.
